About Lake Effect:

Lake Effect Radio is an internet streaming
broadcast station owned and operated by Lakeland Community College, located n Kirtland, Ohio.
Lake Effect delivers unique and diverse radio programming that serves the college and community.

​Students gain real-world experience in media production and day to day management and operations of radio broadcast and pod casting.
The station is operated by the students of Lakeland Community College, and is overseen by the Department of Student Engagement & Leadership.
Our mission:
Lake Effect Radio broadcasts music and entertainment to the students at Lakeland Community College and online at www.lakeeffectradio.org. Lake Effect announces, and produces commercials for, campus events and programs sponsored by clubs at Lakeland. We also advertise for outside businesses, and organizations in Northeast Ohio. They interview student organizations, local artists, local bands, companies, organizations and businesses. Lake Effect won Lakeland Student Activities Student Organization of the Year Award for the 2013-2014 and 2017-2018 academic year.
